Our Dedication to Pat Summit

On Wednesday the legendary Tennessee Lady Vols basketball coach, Pat Summitt, announced that she was stepping down. Coach Summitt inspired thousands of young basketball players and impacted the lives of countless Lady Vols! With over 1,000 wins, this competitive leader was much more than a women's basketball coach. In my mind her true contribution was (and still is) her ability to act as a life skills coach.

In college I read the book Reach for the Summitt and was inspired to be a good person first and a great basketball player second. As a former college basketball player, I know how important it is for women of all ages to have mentors, women to look up to and positive role models. Pat Summitt coached with elegance, grace, pride and a competitive spirit. This week I encourage all of our fans, friends and acquaintances to Reach for The Summit and play with pride!

Hey Tall Girls in Chicago!

One of our favorite stores, Long Tall Sally, is coming to Chicago this weekend for their Spring 2012 trunk show. I am totally obsessed with their denim options. As a tall gal (confidently 6-feet tall), it is SO difficult to find jeans that are long enough and cut high enough. I am no longer 18 and 'typical' low-rise jeans barely come over my hip! The Camden Skinny Jeans may be my favorite so far... Who doesn't want a pair of jeans that will flatter and slim down the legs?
